Glovers book United tie

Yeovil scored two late goals to dump Accrington out of the FA Cup and set up a third-round tie with Manchester United.

The Glovers almost took the lead in the 12th minute through some desperate defending from Stanley when defender Tom Aldred's attempted nod back flew past on-rushing keeper Jack Rose, only for the thankful centre-half to watch it bobble wide.

Stanley could have benefitted from a defensive blunder themselves as Marcus Carver pounced on a short Brendan Moloney back-pass,but keeper Jed Steer did well to pat it away from his feet.

The Glovers enjoyed the better of the remaining first-half chances but both sides appeared nervous with Louis van Gaal's Red Devils awaiting the winner in the next round and neither could take the initiative in a goalless opening 45 minutes.

Yeovil's first arrived after 84 minutes when Simon Gillett was allowed to control and drill into an open net after striker Tom Eaves and had challenged Rose in the air.

The mouth-watering clash with United was sealed in the 88th minute when substitute Kieffer Moore rose unchallenged to head in the second.
