Grant sees off Posh

Yeovil picked up their first home win since March as a late goal from Joel Grant saw them beat Peterborough 1-0.

The home side dominated their loftier opponents and looked the most likely to take the lead with early efforts from Grant and Kieffer Moore.

However, the Glovers granted Marcus Maddison three sights at goal in the first half and were almost made to pay when his third strike cracked the crossbar, came down on the line and bounced away.

Yeovil's Moore almost followed up his mid-week headed goal with another, but his nodded effort was superbly tipped over by Ben Alnwick.

The striker could have prodded home just after the break, but put his shot just wide before Kenny McEvoy fluffed a guilt-edged chance at the other end, rippling the side netting.

Grant's winner arrived with three minutes later when the Jamaican picked the ball up on the right, danced one way and then the other before coolly rolling the ball home to secure a deserved win.
