Francois Zoko sinks former club Notts County to extend Yeovil run

Francois Zoko scored the only goal as Yeovil notched up their fourth straight 1-0 win at home to Notts County.

Zoko netted five minutes into the second half against his former club when he rose to head home Harry Cornick's cross.

Yeovil wasted the chance to record a more emphatic victory when Leroy Lita missed a penalty late on, while County had goalkeeper Scott Loach to thank for a string for fine saves that limited the score to a single goal.

The Glovers had the better of the first half as Marc Laird and Kevin Dawson both spurned good opportunities, but deservedly went ahead after Zoko beat a string of County defenders to Cornick's ball.

Cornick nearly doubled Yeovil's lead but Loach proved equal to the task, before the former England youth international brilliantly tipped Dawson's drive onto the post.

It looked like the hosts would finally put the game to bed when they were awarded a penalty following a handball, but Loach palmed away Lita's penalty to keep the game in the balance.

Lita then somehow conspired to miss from point-blank range in injury time but Yeovil were worthy winners.
