Yeovil held by Carlisle in drab draw

Entertainment was in short supply at Huish Park as Yeovil and Carlisle played out a drab goalless draw.

Both sides struggled to create chances throughout what proved a turgid encounter.

Yeovil remain 11 points clear of the relegation zone in 20th place, while Carlisle climb a spot to 10th after their fourth straight draw.

The first half turned into somewhat of a stalemate as both defences held firm, with Carlisle midfielder Jack Stacey producing the best chance with a fierce drive from the edge of the box that Artur Krysiak did well to hold onto.

Slightly more action followed after the interval, as Martin Smith tested Krysiak with a long range effort that took the Glovers keeper two attempts to gather.

Yeovil had their best chance of the match on the hour mark when Ryan Dickson's cross somehow eluded all in the box and bounced out of harm's way, before substitute Jabo Ibehre headed just wide for the visitors following Tom Miller's long throw.

Carlisle looked the more threatening of the two sides in the closing stages but were unable to break the deadlock.
