He said: "We all have to wake up to what sort of team Yeovil are. It's a reality check for our players, supporters and management team.
"We need to show more fight and more commitment. We were leaderless."
Looking to Yeovil's forthcoming fixtures, he promised he would be looking to expand his options.
"I'm going to be on the phone, Morse code, text, whatever to get someone in, but we know we're punching above our weight as a club," he said.
