Skiverton salutes battling Town

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton praised his side's character after they came away from high-flying Oldham with a goalless draw. Goalkeeper John Sullivan made a handful of excellent saves for the visitors, while Dean Brill saved from Andy Williams late on to preserve a point for the Latics. Skiverton said: "Oldham are a very good team but both sides tried to play the right way and we had our share of chances. "I want us to surprise people this season instead of being good old Yeovil escaping relegation again and we defended like men in a tough game. "We competed with Oldham's strengths in midfield and showed the nous and know-how to force their keeper into a few saves. "I was looking for a response after the performance last week and I am pleased with what I got."
