Skiverton rues missed opportunities

Boss Terry Skiverton was left to reflect on a series of chances missed in the first half as Yeovil slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Peterborough. Posh left it late before goals from top scorer Craig Mackail-Smith and defender Grant Basey in the 85th and 88th minutes secured the points despite a below-par performance. He said: "Nearly isn't good enough at the moment. A mistake cost us but I can't fault the players. "We aren't taking the chances we're creating and we're conceding at bad times. We're on the back of three defeats now but we'll keep working hard and make sure we start taking these chances. "I thought we dominated for long spells, especially in the first half, and I don't know how we missed some of those opportunities. "But I'm more than happy with the players I've got and think we've got a good enough squad. We'll have a few days off now because we haven't got a game on Saturday but then we'll get back to work and I can assure you that we'll be working to make sure we put those chances away."
