Skiverton questions penalty decision

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton was left to rue a penalty decision but refused to blame the referee for his side`s 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the first round of the Carling Cup. A stoppage-time goal by Alan Lee gave the Eagles victory in a pulsating tie at Huish Park after Yeovil had themselves threatened a late winner. 13 minutes from time the Glovers had penalty claims waved away by the referee after Dean Bowditch looked to be have brought down inside the box. Skiverton said: "The match hung on one decision, when Dean Bowditch was clear and was brought down. I have had a quick look at the video and the lad does catch his legs first, it should have been a penalty and the lad should have been sent off. "But these things happen in games and the ref is a nice guy, so we can have a cup of tea afterwards." Skiverton added: "I can take a lot of heart from the performance. We looked fit and energetic against a very good Championship side. George Burley has got Palace well organised and I think they will cause problems for a lot of teams."
