Skiverton hurt by capitulation

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton admitted the result had been a "tough one to take" after a 3-1 lead slipped to a 3-3 draw against Swindon. The Robins took the lead through Charlie Austin with his seventh goal of the season. Yeovil began their reply in first-half stoppage time with a free-kick by Gavin Williams. They took the lead after 49 minutes when Nathan Jones set up a move which was finished by Dean Bowditch and the same player added a second in the 61st minute. It looked over but after 87 minutes Sean Morrison scored from an Michael Rose cross and a minute later substitute Jon Paul McGovern thumped in an unstoppable 25-yarder past Ben Roberts. "It was topsy turvy to say the least," he said. "We started terribly and couldn't string two passes together and I felt I had to make an early substitution to get back into the game after they scored. "It was tough on Andy Welsh but the introduction of Sam Williams worked a treat. As soon as he came on we were putting them under pressure and got Dean Bowditch at the races with their centre half to put them on the back foot. "To go 3-1 up you think the game is over but we have been conceding too many late goals. Fundamental, basic errors are costing us. To get in winning position and throw it away is a tough one to take."
