Skiverton hails clinical Glovers
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton was grateful to his side for producing the "killer instinct" to finish off a lacklustre Tranmere with a 1-0 win.
The Glovers picked up their first points in four matches thanks to a fine finish by on-loan player Oli Johnson in the 77th minute.
Skiverton said: "It took an opportunist strike to win the game for us and the points are more than welcome.
"We are fighting for our lives, and a win was so important. Hopefully we can now climb the league and get to a position of safety.
"We have too often pressed the self-destruct button. Every time we look as if we are getting away from the bottom, we do something silly.
"We are a team that is hard to beat, but we need that killer instinct, and we are working on it. It was a spirited performance."
