Skiverton said: "I'm not going to comment on sending offs at least until I see the referee's report.

"What I will say is that Gavin was fantastic. You can't say how important he was on the pitch, he created space for other people. He picked the ball up and switched play and on top of that scored two goals.

"To come out 4-0 winners and play such football was great. Hartlepool are not a bad side. They came here a year ago and turned us over."
