Skiverton eyes striking solution

Terry Skiverton is hoping to reinforce Yeovil's frontline when the loan window opens next week. The Glovers boss admits reinforcements need to come in after Sam Williams was sent off in the 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Exeter. Williams' absence leaves Dean Bowditch and Luke Freeman as the Glovers' only remaining strikers, although Skiverton admits a return move for Bristol City midfielder Gavin Williams is unlikely. "I'm looking for a person who can play in a forward-type role, not necessarily a target man," he told BBC Somerset. "We seemed to cope very well when we had Gavin Williams last year but we haven't got him now." Speaking on Williams, who spent the second half of the season at Huish Park, he added: "We enquired about Gav earlier in the season but there was no more dialogue towards that, so we are looking in other areas at the moment."
