Skiverton backs Glovers to survive

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton has backed his side to climb out of the League One relegation zone after they continued their recent revival with a 2-0 win over Brentford. The Glovers are now only three points behind Tranmere in 20th place after goals from Paul Huntington and Andy Williams gave them their second consecutive win and extended their unbeaten league run to four matches. "We are getting the spirit back and if everyone sticks by us we will get out of this," said Skiverton. "There has been a marked improvement in attitude and desire among the players and bravery is also evident. Rather than sit back and think about mistakes we have stood up to the challenge. "Our supporters were magnificent. Every time we attacked they were excited, which I'd not heard for a long time. You will go far and wide in this division to find a quicker front three than Andy Welsh, Andy Williams and Sam Williams. "There were times this year when the supporters had a go at me and they were justified. But they were absolutely magnificent. We're not going to get out of this unless the crowd becomes a team-mate to help us on." Skiverton added: "I'm going to enjoy myself in this job. I want to enjoy it. I am not going to be down and I'm helped because everywhere I walk people are still positive."
