Skiverton admits tactical mistake

The former Town captain began his first full season in charge with a 2-0 win over Tranmere on the opening day of the League One season last weekend. But despite going into half-time on level terms against the Canaries, a Grant Holt hat-trick and a Wes Hoolahan penalty helped the East-Anglian visitors to a comprehensive victory. Skiverton said: "It could have been eight. I take most of the blame for that myself. I'm a young manager and when they took the lead I decided to chase the game rather than continue in the way we were playing. "It opened things up at the back and Norwich took full advantage." But he added: "Although I would have liked two wins, if I had to choose, I would pick the three league points rather than the cup."
