Skiv hails response

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton was satisfied with the performance of his side as they held promotion favourites Southampton to a 1-1 draw. Southampton's Brazilian substitute Guly Do Prado opened the scoring after 57 minutes before Adam Virgo hit back for Yeovil from the penalty spot following a foul on Gavin Williams. Skiverton, whose side went into the game on the back of successive defeats, said: "I got the right response. What I have to realise, and the supporters realise as well, is where we are in the pecking order. "I am not getting carried away, we are a small club fighting against the odds and people have to forget all the grandeur about `we should be doing this, or challenging for that'. "We're going to be up and down all season. We have got to put in more performances like that - putting bodies on the line. "Loan signing Gavin Williams had a leg hanging off but he put in an absolute shift for me and I was also pleased with Luke Ayling as a makeshift right-back."
