McQuoid on target again

23 November 2010 22:30
Newly-capped Northern Ireland international striker Josh McQuoid scored with a stunning 20-yard shot as Bournemouth cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over Yeovil. Bournemouth were already ahead through Danny Hollands when, nine minutes before half-time, McQuoid cut-in from the left and unleashed a terrific shot which screamed past Yeovil goalkeeper John Sullivan into the far corner. McQuoid, who scored hat-tricks in his previous two Dean Court appearances, has now scored 12 times this season. Bournemouth seldom looked back after taking the lead in the 19th minute through Hollands, who scored from 20 yards after veteran Steve Fletcher had headed the ball down into his path. Debutant goalkeeper Jon Stewart made saves from Andy Williams and half-time substitute Owain Tudur-Jones, but Yeovil rarely threatened. McQuoid and Liam Feeney both denied by goalkeeper Sullivan in a dour second half.
