Obika rescues gritty Glovers

A scrambled goal deep into added time by Jon Obika completed Yeovil's fightback from two-down in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road.

The home side had led 2-0 with eight minutes remaining before Andrew Williams reduced the deficit.

Kevin Lisbie had notched both goals for the home side, taking his tally for the season to 12 goals and it appeared sufficient to have allowed the home side to have considerably eased their relegation fears.

But the Glovers mounted a late revival and exposed the O's defence in the 82nd minute when Williams applied the finishing touches in a goalmouth scramble.

Then came further heartbreak for Orient when, halfway through the four minutes of added time, they failed to clear a corner and Obika found himself unmarked in the six-yard box and was able to stab home the goal.

Victory ensured Yeovil's status in npower League One for next season while Orient are still looking over their shoulders in their survival bid.
