Glovers prove too strong for Us

Yeovil celebrated their biggest home win of the season having twice hit back immediately to quash any hope of a Colchester fightback, triumphing 4-2 at Huish Park. Craig Alcock gave the Glovers the lead after 15 minutes with a neat left-footed drive, and just seven minutes later Manchester City loan signing Andrew Tutte made it 2-0. Ashley Vincent found space on the right to pull a goal back for Colchester after 33 minutes but, within the space of just 60 seconds, Dean Bowditch restored Yeovil`s two-goal margin from close range. The second half was end-to-end with Colchester creating chances only to be thwarted by last-ditch tackles and some impressive goalkeeping from Stephen Henderson. David Mooney did eventually fire under the Yeovil keeper to make it 3-2 in the 63rd minute but, once again, Yeovil replied immediately, Tutte providing for Andrew Welsh to volley into the top corner from 12 yards.
