Yeovil were struck a massive blow after 20 minutes when goalkeeper Alex McCarthy was sent off for conceding a penalty after Nicholas Bignall went down in the box. Carl Baker scored from the spot but Yeovil drew level after 33 minutes with a smart finish from Gavin Tomlin after a Nathan Jones corner was headed back across the box. In first-half stoppage time Baker regained the lead for Stockport when he was given space on the edge of the box to turn and fire past replacement goalkeeper Richard Martin. Yeovil's second equaliser again featured Jones as he made a run down the left and laid the ball off for Ryan Mason who picked out substitute Sam Williams to head inside the far post.
