Glovers boss on a high

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton said it was "an honour" to finish the season level with Charlton and above Sheffield Wednesday following his side's 2-0 win at Carlisle. The Glovers, who finished in 14th place, closed the season by extending their unbeaten run to six matches thanks to goals from Jonathan Obika, who curled home into the top corner in the 26th minute, and Dean Bowditch, from close range following Andrew Welsh's cross. Skiverton said: "It's an honour for us to finish the season on the same points as Charlton and above Sheffield Wednesday. You could roll us five times into their budget. "What makes us strong is sticking together and no finger-pointing. That's got us to where we are in the league. We've had a great second half to the season and it's down to a team effort. "It would have been easy to sack me in the current climate, but the club's stuck with me. Other clubs change their manager and it didn't work for them. I think we can cause teams a few problems next season." Skiverton added: "It was a very good performance. We started on the front foot, our passing was good and we caused them quite a few problems. I said we'd win it in the tunnel if we were physical and stood up to the challenges and played our football."
