Boss hails hard-working Glovers

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton was delighted with his side's workmanlike display after they secured a 2-1 home win over Notts County. A goal in each half from Dean Bowditch secured the Glovers victory with the Magpies' solitary reply coming from John Spicer. Skiverton said: "We knew how important it was and we couldn't afford to muck about in our own half against a team that is looking to turn us. For us it was about putting the ball back in their half and seeing if they could break us down. "When it got back to 1-1 I was still quite confident. I think everyone in the stadium was delighted with three points." The victory took Yeovil to 50 points, seven clear of the relegation zone, and a home win over Oldham on Saturday should ensure safety. Skiverton added: "If things go right we could overtake Sheffield Wednesday and we must keep pushing on. I have always been a winner and I want us to string runs of wins together. We always seem to find ourselves on the edge of a cliff and I don't want that to happen again next season."
