Perfect ten for Lambert

27 Jul 2007 - 12:49:41

Wycombe Wanderers manager Paul Lambert has continued his summer rebuilding programme by making Swansea City defender Tom Williams his tenth signing since the end of last term, subject to international clearance.

The 27-year-old has penned a two-year-deal with the Chairboys and Lambert is delighted with his latest acquisition.

He told the club's official website: "We've got a very strong squad now and we're going to give it a really good go this season to try and get out of this league.

"We've been trying to get Tom all summer, and there's been a lot of to-ing and fro-ing. He's a terrific player who's played a lot of games at a higher level."

Martin Bullock, Craig Woodman, Scott Shearer, David McCracken, Leon Johnson, Derek Duncan, John Sutton, Jack Obersteller and Gary Holt have already been bought by the former Livingston manager this summer.

Meanwhile, striker Fola Onibuje has left the club by mutual consent.
