Lambert in buoyant mood

Wycombe Wanderers manager Paul Lambert believes his side have every chance of reaching the League Two play-off final despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Stockport County in the semi-final first leg at Adams Park on Sunday evening.

The Chairboys have won nine times on the road this term, and Lambert believes his side is better equipped to play away from home.

He said: "Their goal changes nothing. We'll go for it next weekend and, I tell you what, you won't get a better game in the league than the one you'll see next week.

"I love going to away games when everything's against you and there's a big home crowd. I've seen my players put in some unbelievable games away from home and we'll do it again next week.

"It was never going to be a game full of chances but I thought it was an excellent game for League Two. I couldn't ask for any more from my players and now we'll go there next week to try and win the game."
