Waddock hails impact of routine change
Wycombe manager Gary Waddock was delighted with a point against promotion rivals Shrewsbury and put it all down to a change in their training routine.Gareth Ainsworth's controversial second-half strike cancelled out James Collins' opener for the visitors. The veteran midfielder's header was adjudged to have crossed the line but it looked a close call. However, Waddock's focus was on his side's preparation."At this stage of the season players get used to a set pattern of things so we completely changed it and took them go carting on Thursday," he said."We had a fantastic day and it played a bit part in what we were trying to achieve at Shrewsbury today. We also did a few things differently on the trip up here and the players were completely relaxed."It was a valuable point for us on the road and if we continued to play like that we won't be far away at the end of the season."
