Waddock bags striker Revell

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock has swooped to sign Southend United striker Alex Revell on a free transfer after allowing Chris Zebroski to make his loan move to Torquay United permanent.

The 26-year-old former Cambridge United forward has signed a contract that will keep him at Adams Park until the end of the season.

He had spent the last four months on loan at Swindon Town, scoring twice in 12 appearances for the Robins, who decided not to make the switch permanent.

Waddock said of Revell: "I've tracked him for a while and I'm delighted to have him on board. Hopefully he can score a few goals and help push us up the table."

Revell scored four goals in 43 appearances for Steve Tilson's side following his £150,000 transfer from Brighton two years ago.
