Wycombe Wanderers manager Peter Taylor is set for showdown talks with striker Leon Knight, who failed to turn up for a recent reserve team game.
The 25-year-old scored five goals in 22 appearances for the Chairboys following his arrival from MK Dons in January, but he could be heading out of the club after angering new boss Taylor.
He told the Bucks Free Press: "I have given him a letter and told him to report at the normal time on Monday.
"Leon is only a good player if he works hard. I want him to get a bit fitter and work harder. I think he can work harder.
"It may be a part of his game that he thinks he doesn't have to do, but I think he does.
"We will have a chat on Monday and see how we go from there. I've fined him and hopefully we can sort it out and move on."
