Taylor hopes to keep Akinde

Wycombe Wanderers boss Peter Taylor is hoping to extend John Akinde's loan stay at Adams Park.

The teenage Bristol City striker scored two goals on his debut against Brentford last weekend and Taylor is hoping to keep hold of him until the end of the season.

"We appreciate what Bristol City have done in allowing John to join us," he said.

"We now all hope that their strikers keep on scoring so they don't want him back as I want him here for the rest of the season."
