Wycombe Wanderers manager Peter Taylor paid tribute to Chris Zebroski after the striker scored the last-gasp winner in Tuesday's 2-1 victory at Darlington.
Zebroski's stoppage-time header sent the Chairboys up to second place in the League Two table.
"I think people know he's not the crowd's favourite. I think they get a bit frustrated like I do, but he never stops running and believing to get in there," Taylor told the club's official website.
"It was a good corner and I was pleased that Chris got a touch.
"For the fans it was tremendous that we could score a goal like that.
"I know it's a real downer for Darlington, but for us it's terrific."
