Taylor hails Balanta debut

Wycombe Wanderers boss Peter Taylor is hoping to keep Angelo Balanta for the duration of his loan contract, following his impressive debut in Saturday's 1-0 win over Bradford City.

The on-loan QPR forward joined the Chairboys on a two-month deal last week and caught the eye after replacing Lewwis Spence at half-time.

"We hope to keep him for at least two months, but it's in QPR's hands now," Taylor told the club's official website.

"He's 18, he hadn't really got to know the boys yet which is why he didn't start, but given the way he performed when he came on, maybe he should have been on from the start.

"I've only worked with him for two days of training, but I've been very impressed.

"He has tremendous awareness. The lads were laughing in training because they couldn't believe the amount of time he gives himself on the ball."
