Shrewsbury Town manager Gary Peters has decided to extend Scott Shearer's loan deal at Gay Meadow until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Bristol Rovers goalkeeper has made 15 appearances for the Shrews since joining the club in October and has impressed Peters.
"He'll be able to play for us in every game from now until May, bar playing against Bristol Rovers and if we're both lucky enough to meet in the play-offs and play each other," Peters told the club's official website.
"It's a tricky one as we've got two decent keepers with Chris Mackenzie and Ryan Esson.
"But Bristol Rovers have been pretty good with us and we've done a deal that suits both clubs.
"We can afford this within our budget and it allows Scott to remain here until the end of May."
