Swindon born Chris Zebroski began his career as a youth player for Swindon Town. He was released by the club due to failing to earn a professional contract. He then signed for Plymouth Argyle as a youth player and later signed a professional contract for the team. Whilst there he made 4 first team appearances. Zebroski's contract was terminated after an incident between him and and the club captain Paul Wooton, which lead to Zebroski being found guilty of gross misconduct.
