Pilgrims return for Reid

Wycombe Wanderers have decided to allow Reuben Reid to end his loan stay at Adams Park and the teenage striker has returned to Plymouth Argyle.

The 19-year-old started his loan spell with the Chairboys in September, but started only two games for Paul Lambert's side, making ten more appearances from the substitute's bench.

Head coach Ian Culverhouse told Wycombe's official website: "It didn't work out for Reuben so we thought it would be best for him to go back.

"He would have returned to Plymouth in January anyway and it's unfortunate that things didn't quite go as we hoped because it leaves us short of strikers.

"But we're working hard to sign one when the transfer window opens."
