    No Chairboys stay for Moussa

    23 Dec 2008 - 11:17:54

Wycombe Wanderers boss Peter Taylor has reluctantly allowed midfielder Franck Moussa to return to Southend United after his loan spell at Adams Park came to an end.

Taylor had been hoping to keep Moussa, but Shrimpers manager Steve Tilson wanted the Belgian player back in time for the busy festive period.

The 19-year-old started seven games for the Chairboys during his time at the club, and made a further two appearances from the substitute's bench.

Meanwhile, Taylor is still hoping to bring Reading's Simon Church back to the club for another loan spell, after the striker played the last game of his current deal at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

The Wycombe boss said: "He's a good professional and a good player.

"I'd love to have him until the end of the season but I respect his club and I understand they may not want to let him join until then."
