Wycombe boss Paul Lambert has slammed Leyton Orient striker Jabo Ibehre after his decision to snub a move to Adams Park in favour of staying at Brisbane Road.
The 23-year-old looked all set to either join the Chairboys or League One Brighton ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline, but then decided to stick with the O's, leaving Lambert mystified.
He told the Wycombe official club website: "The last time I spoke to him he wanted to come to Wycombe.
"I didn't have a problem with him talking to Brighton and if he had chosen them over us then that would have been fine. But to go back to where he came from is bizarre and I just don't understand it.
"If he had shown the right willingness to stay then great, but he never did, and then he went to Brighton and maybe gave them the same inkling.
"We were around until all hours and never managed to get him. If it was Ronaldinho we were trying to sign I might have accepted it, but it's far from that case."
