Lambert praise for McGleish

Boss Paul Lambert has praised the efforts of Wycombe Wanderers' leading scorer Scott McGleish in helping the Chairboys clinch a League Two play-off place.

The 33-year-old has scored 26 goals this term, having moved to Adams Park in January last year from Northampton Town.

Lambert commented: "He's made a lot of those goals for himself and he has proved to be a top-class finisher.

"He only needs one chance at the minute. He's got 26 this season which is unbelievable.

"He's come in and my god has he stepped up this season. He's up there with the best finishers I've seen and I've worked with and played against some of the best."
