Lambert eyes starlet stay

Wycombe boss Paul Lambert has admitted that he would like to keep loan starlet Scott Golbourne at Adams Park on a permanent basis.

The 18-year-old has impressed at the Chairboys since arriving from the Royals and he signed off with an equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Grimsby Town.

Lambert is now looking to try and persuade the Premiership side to let him have Golbourne back again with a view to a full-time arrangement in the January transfer window.

He said: "The lad Golbourne scored a terrific goal for us and he's been great since arriving from Reading.

"I'd love to have him here permanently but we'll have to see what happens in January."
