Lambert eyes loan boost
02 Feb 2007 - 09:30:58
Wycombe Wanderers manager Paul Lambert is looking to add to his squad with loan signings after failing to add fresh faces during the transfer window.
The Chairboys boss saw Kevin Betsy leave Adams Park for Bristol City before transfer deadline day and is keen to bolster his side's League Two promotion push with loan signings when the window opens later this month.
"We have to get other players in to give the squad freshness. We tried to get a couple this week but it never happened," he told the club's official website.
"One or two things fell through which meant we couldn't get them."
Meanwhile, Lambert was delighted to keep hold of Jermaine Easter during the transfer window despite plenty of interest in his star striker.
"Jermaine is still here. You can't do anything if someone isn't putting money on the table to take him," he added.
"There had been little things regarding him but nothing materialised."
