Church set for Chairboys stay

Wycombe Wanderers manager Peter Taylor plans to extend Simon Church's loan stay at Adams Park even though the 19-year-old was sent off on his first start for the club.

The Reading striker was dismissed after only 21 minutes of the 2-1 win against Dagenham & Redbridge and will be suspended for three matches.

Taylor said: "As far as I'm concerned, I want to keep Simon for another couple of months. He's a good player and he's done well for us.

"He'll be going back to Reading this weekend but we're hopefully going to re-sign him on loan after the Grimsby Town game on 11th October.

"I'm hopeful it can be sorted and we'll have him until mid-December."
