Chairboys win Zebroski appeal

Wycombe Wanderers have been successful with an appeal against Chris Zebroski's sending-off in the 1-1 draw with Darlington at the weekend.

Zebroski was dismissed for a clash with Quakers defender Tim Ryan late on in the game, with initial reports suggesting that he had been red-carded for an altercation with team-mate Matt Harrold.

However, Chairboys boss Peter Taylor was less than impressed with the explanation he received for the decision by referee Mr Phillips.

He told the club's official website: "I wouldn't be appealing if I thought it was a red card.

"I spoke to the officials and asked them why they send Chris off, they gave me a reason, but the reason they gave me I felt was incorrect and that's why we're appealing."
