Chairboys swoop for Sinclair

Lincoln City have allowed defender Frank Sinclair to join Wycombe on loan for the rest of the season despite his regular involvement in the first team.

The 37-year-old was ditched by City because playing one more game for the club would have triggered a clause in his contract that would have given him an apparently unwanted extension.

Wycombe have been the side to benefit, bringing in one of the most experienced defenders in the league for a run-in that could see the club win automatic promotion to League One.

"I wanted a bit of experience for our nine games between now and the end of the season and that is what he brings," confirmed Wanderers boss Peter Taylor.
