Chairboys slam Easter talk

A frustrated Paul Lambert has once again dismissed rumours suggesting that star striker Jermaine Easter is seeking a summer move away from Wycombe Wanderers.

The 25-year-old Wales international has been linked with a number of clubs further up the leagues following the Chairboys' failure to reach the League Two play-offs.

However, manager Lambert is adamant that his player is going nowhere, telling the club's official website: "It's nonsense.

"This has come up so often over the past few months that I'm getting tired of repeating myself.

"But let me say once again for the record - we've had no offers for Jermaine and we don't want to lose him. As far as I'm concerned, he's going nowhere."

Easter joined Wycombe in January 2006 from Stockport County and has scored 26 goals in 64 appearances for the Adams Park club.
