Bloomfield inks new deal

Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Matt Bloomfield has pledged his future to the club by agreeing a new two-year contract with the Chairboys.

The 24-year-old, who is currently the longest-serving player at Adams Park, has scored 17 times in 177 appearances during five seasons with the club.

The former Ipswich Town trainee told Wycombe's official website: "I'm happy to have signed and to get my future sorted so now I can concentrate on getting fit without worrying about contracts.

"The gaffer's been brilliant. He says he wants to get me fit, he's seen videos of me playing so he knows all about me.

"I never wanted to leave, I never asked for anything unreasonable and I just wanted to get it sorted."
