Akinde loan boosts Chairboys

Wycombe Wanderers have signed Bristol City forward John Akinde on an initial month's loan.

The 19-year-old has scored once in seven appearances for the Robins since his arrival from Ebbsfleet at the start of the season, but has not featured since mid-February.

Wanderers boss Peter Taylor told the club's official website: "I know there were a bundle of Football League clubs looking to sign him on loan and I really appreciate Bristol City and Gary Johnson allowing John to join us.

"I've seen him play on numerous occasions. He's still new to the game but has tremendous potential.

"He's here for a month and during that time I hope he can help us and we can help him."
