Chairboys lose duo for Robins clash Wycombe have lost Matt McClure and Adam Thompson to international duty for their game against Cheltenham at Adams Park. McClure, who recently recovered from a knee problem, and Watford loanee Thompson are away with Northern Ireland's Under-21 squad. Boss Gary Waddock is already without defensive trio Danny Foster, Anthony Stewart and Marvin McCoy. Foster played for the reserves in midweek as he battles back from a knee injury but the game is expected to come too soon for him, while Stewart is a major doubt with a dead leg and McCoy is out for two months with an ankle injury. Waddock will hand on-loan defender Matt Parsons a home debut at left-back while Jo Kuffour could be handed a full debut in attack, but Matt Bloomfield is again a doubt with a groin injury. Alan Bennett is Cheltenham's only absentee as they travel desperate for a positive response to their first defeat of the season last weekend. Defender Bennett tweaked his calf in training on Monday and misses out at Adams Park, although manager Mark Yates has an otherwise fully-fit squad to select from. Midfielder Darren Carter played for Town's reserves in midweek and is one of a couple of players firmly in contention for a starting berth. Yates, however, has stressed there will not be wholesale changes despite the 3-0 home defeat to Accrington, admitting he picked the wrong team and formation for the encounter. "There is a temptation to make changes but we won't make knee-jerk reactions," Yates told the club's official website. "I know my team is good enough and we'll pick a team for the right reasons. We may freshen it up in one or two areas. "We trusted each other on and off the pitch last season and it is the same with this group of players and I won't drop people for the sake of it. Sometimes you need to change it and sometimes players need to be given another chance, so I'll do what I see fit."
