Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth set to keep the faith

Manager Gareth Ainsworth is expected to retain the majority of the team that won 2-0 at Exeter on Saturday when Wycombe host Cambridge in League Two on Tuesday night.

However, midfielder Sam Wood could be in contention for a place in the substitutes' bench with him nearing a return from a knee injury.

Paul Hayes could also feature at some point having recovered from an Achilles problem in time to be considered on Saturday, even though Ainsworth left him out on that occasion.

Anthony Stewart remains a long-term absentee, the defender sidelined until Christmas with a knee injury.

Cambridge manager Richard Money is also unlikely to make many changes to his team given that they beat Stevenage 1-0 on Saturday.

He could, however, be tempted to recall one or more of Barry Corr, Keith Keane, Ryan Donaldson and Jeff Hughes.

Saturday's fixture came too early in their bids to return to fitness, even though Donaldson and Hughes sat on the bench, and they are given an outside chance of being fit for Tuesday evening.

Goalkeeper Chris Dunn had been an injury doubt but came through Saturday's victory unscathed and is therefore expected to retain his place.
