Ainsworth to keep the faith

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth is expected to name the same line-up that won 4-0 on Saturday as they face Capital One Cup finalists Bradford.

The Chairboys' emphatic victory over York moved them to within five points of the npower League Two play-off places, an incredible turnaround for a side who won just one game before early October.

Young defender Kortney Hause was not involved at Adams Park on Saturday with a knock and he is struggling to be fit in time for the clash with the Bantams so Leon Johnson is expected to retain his place on the bench.

Wycombe are undefeated since New Year's Day and have won their last three matches, keeping clean sheets in every one.

Bradford defender Carl McHugh is expected to return to contention for the midweek game at Wycombe.

McHugh was rested at the weekend after making his debut for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s against Holland four days earlier, but could be recalled to the centre of defence.

Another defender, Andrew Davies, is back in the reckoning. He returned to the substitutes' bench at the weekend for the first time since his knee injury in October and is hoping to play some part at Adams Park.

Nahki Wells overcame a groin injury to start alongside James Hanson up front against Gillingham and should continue, while Blair Turgott, on loan from West Ham, is pushing for a recall after being left out altogether at the weekend.

Defender Rory McArdle remains sidelined and will learn the full extent of his ankle injury after consulting a specialist on Monday.

The Bantams are chasing their first win in seven league games having taken only two points from the last 18 on offer.

The game is subject to a 10am pitch inspection on Tuesday morning.
