Ingram saves the day for Wycombe

Matt Ingram saved a last-gasp Dean Parrett penalty to deny 10-man Stevenage their third straight win and earn Wycombe a 2-2 draw at Adams Park.

Fred Onyedinma scored Wycombe's opener after 10 minutes when he collected Paul Hayes' clever low ball, rounded Chris Day and calmly passed the ball into the back of the net.

The dominant Chairboys allowed Stevenage to get back into the game on the half-hour mark when Chris Whelpdale whipped in a cross from the right and Tom Pett nodded in at the far post.

Stevenage completed the turnaround in first-half injury time when Parrett fired in a low free kick from just outside the box, through a number of bodies and into the net.

Onyedinma equalised from a Joe Jacobson corner just before Chris Beardsley was awarded a second yellow for fouling Sido Jombati.

The 10 men had the opportunity to win it in the eighth minute of injury time after Alfie Mawson fouled Ben Kennedy in the box, but Ingram pushed Parrett's effort clear to preserve a point.
