Michael Harriman doubles up as Wycombe move second

Michael Harriman's first two goals for Wycombe saw them beat 10-man Hartlepool 2-1 to move second in the League Two table.

Queen's Park Rangers loanee Harriman struck either side of half-time to cancel out Carl Magnay's effort just before the interval, the Hartlepool defender seeing a late red card for tangling with Ryan Sellers.

In a lively start, Gareth Ainsworth's side went close four times before they opened the scoring on 27 minutes as Harriman to latched onto a long ball and cracked a first-time shot into the bottom corner.

But Pools levelled on 43 minutes. Magnay swapped passes with Rakish Bingham and his charge into the penalty area from right-back was rewarded with his first goal for the club.

Billy Paynter clipped a shot against the post with keeper Matt Ingram beaten in first-half injury time.

And on 57 minutes, the Chairboys won it. Harry Worley lost out on a long ball to Garry Thompson, and Harriman curled in a shot high over keeper Adam Bartlett.

Pools chance to level came when Rhys Oates fired into keeper Ingram from 18 yards, before Magnay was sent off late on.
