Grecians end losing run

Alan Gow's late strike secured a 1-1 draw for Exeter who halted their League Two losing run at Wycombe.

Heading into the clash with the Chairboys, Exeter had lost their last five league games but Gow equalised Steven Craig's first-half effort to share the spoils at Adams Park.

Craig's goal came in the ninth minute when Josh Scowen's 20-yard drive deflected off his chest and trickled past the wrong-footed Artur Krysiak.

The Grecians struggled to create in the final third and it was the home side who continued to have the edge with Stuart Lewis going close just before the break, forcing Krysiak to turn the ball around for a corner.

Scowen was lucky to remain on the pitch when his two-footed lunge on Liam Sercombe brought just a yellow card from referee James Linington moments after the break.

Gary Doherty then had a header cleared off the line for the hosts, but Gow had the final say - his neatly taken goal coming nine minutes from time.
