Wycombe's play-off hopes dented after draw with Yeovil

Wycombe's League Two play-off hopes suffered a potentially terminal blow as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Yeovil.

Neither side looked like finding the net in a match which never sparked into life as Wycombe's winless run extended to five matches at Adams Park.

Wimbledon's win at Dagenham leaves Wanderers four points behind the Dons heading into the final three matches of the season.

A first half of few chances saw Yeovil go closest to scoring as Ryan Allsop denied Connor Roberts and Leroy Lita inside the opening 20 minutes.

The Chairboys created little but almost took a fortuitous lead when Michael Harriman's miscued cross from the left was clawed away by Artur Krysiak as it threatened to sneak in at his near post.

A dull match nearly burst into life moments after the restart as Marcus Bean's excellent rising volley was tipped over.

Aaron Pierre saw a 78th-minute header cleared off the line as both sides toiled for a winner which never materialised late on.
